By the looks of it, Kelly Clarkson has never been happier.
The “Since U Been Gone” singer was in good spirits on Tuesday, August 24, as she filmed a music video for the third season premiere of The Kelly Clarkson Show in New York City alongside Kristin Chenoweth. The 39-year-old sported a floral dress with black tights and sneakers — but her best accessory was her million-dollar smile.
Clarkson has every reason to be bursting with joy: The mom-of-two — who shares River, 7, and Remington, 5 — with ex-husband Brandon Blackstone was recently handed a huge victory amid the former flames' contentious divorce.
As OK! previously reported, Blake Shelton’s former manager was petitioning the judge in their divorce case to nullify the couple's prenup. Blackstock wanted to split their assets, including their Montana ranch — where he currently lives — and obtain his share of the income Clarkson earned while they were married. (The two split in June 2020 after seven years of marriage.)
However, a judge recently chose to uphold the pop star's prenup, allowing the former couple to individually separate all of their assets and income that each of them earned during their marriage.
Following the news, the American Idol winner jetted off to Vegas with a group of pals to celebrate.
It appears she's more than ready to move on: The Voice judge has reportedly filed paperwork to be declared legally single — and also petitioned a judge to restore her last name back to Clarkson.
