While True Thompson, 8, is ready to head back to class, her brother, Tatum Thompson, 4, is reaching a major milestone as he starts school for the very first time. To mark the occasion, Kardashian set up an extravagant display of pink, blue and purple balloons, along with a blackboard that read, “FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL,” and balloons shaped like apples and pens.

True and Tatum Thompson had their first day of school this week.
The Good American co-founder was clearly feeling emotional about this new phase in her life.
"I canNOT believe Tatum started school today! And my True is in THIRD GRADE! 🥹," she captioned the post. "Both of my babies are officially in school and I truly don’t know how we got here. I’m so grateful for every milestone, but man… it is such a trip how quickly it all goes by. In a blink, they’re suddenly a little bigger, a little more independent, and becoming more and more of who they are meant to be. God is incredible for blessing me with such special angels. How do I make it all slow down just a little?"
She added, "I love my babies beyond words and I am so incredibly proud of the souls that they are and all that they are becoming🤍 I love you so much my cuties! I can’t wait to see what this school year brings 💋😩😩."

However, fans weren’t too pleased with the over-the-top balloon display, with some arguing that such an ordinary milestone didn’t warrant such an extravagant celebration.
"Over consumption — think of the planet!!" one person commented.
"Environmentally what a great message you could carry for just being basic and simple. Your kids need a future that shows you care!! You can do it! Waste not, want not. All balloons are just a waste!" added someone else.
