Kim Kardashian Tells Estranged Husband Kanye West She Loves Him On His Birthday Despite Divorce
Family first? The Kardashian-West crew may be going through tough times, but that doesn’t mean there’s no longer love between estranged couple Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.
On Tuesday, June 8, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians reality star wished her ex a happy 44th birthday despite a very public split that has played out for months in the press.
“Happy Birthday,” the 40-year-old captioned a family photo of her, the rapper and their children (the couple shares North, 7, Saint, 5, Chicago, 3, and Psalm, 21 months). “Love U for Life! 🎈.”
Kardashian also posted several photos to her Instagram story of her kids and their father in celebration of his special day.
Kim wasn’t the only Kardashian to share a special message for Kanye on his birthday. Sister Khloé also shared a snap of her, Kanye, Kim and Tristan Thompson waist-deep in tropical turquoise waters. “Happy birthday to my brother for life!!!” she captioned the pic. “Have the best birthday Ye! Sending you love and endless blessings!!”
The Kardashian family is painting quite the pretty picture, though things have been anything but perfect over the last few months.
As OK! previously reported, Kim officially filed for divorce in February, though news of their split made headlines in early January. The couple have been tight-lipped about the breakup, though OK! sources reported that Kim and Kanye have been living separate lives for quite some time — and that the rapper was in Wyoming when the news broke that they were officially on the outs.

In recent days, though, Kim finally let her loyal followers in on some small details that led to the demise of Kimye. On a recent episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, the SKIMS founder broke down to her family about her crumbling relationship.
“I honestly can’t do this anymore,” she said to her sisters while sobbing. “Why am I still in this place where I’m stuck for years? Like he goes and moves to a different state, every year, and I have to be together so I can raise the kids, you know? And he’s an amazing dad, he’s done an amazing job…
“I think he deserves someone that can go support his every move, go follow him all over the place and move to Wyoming — I can’t do that. He should have a wife that supports his every move and travels with him and does everything,” she continued.
The tearful conversation became even more intense when the KKW Beauty founder said, “I feel like a f**king failure, that it’s like, a third f**king marriage,” she confessed (Kim was previously married to NBA star Kris Humphries, which ended in 2013, and Damon Thomas, when she was only 19.)
“Yeah I feel like a f**king loser. But I can’t even think about that like, I want to be happy.”
Meanwhile, sister Khloé, who is putting up a united front with her man Tristan (see today’s Instagram post to Kanye!), is in the middle of her own relationship crisis.
OK! reported that a woman by the name of Kimberly Alexander is claiming that the NBA star fathered her child and even went so far as to recently post her child’s birth certificate on social media.
