Kim Kardashian Gets Mocked For Her Oscars Post As Fans Believe She's Jealous Over Kourtney Attending The Awards Show

On March 27, Kourtney Kardashian became the first member of her famous family to attend the Academy Awards, as she accompanied fiancé Travis Barker, who performed at the show.

However, sister Kim Kardashian's Instagram post about the big night made it seem as though she went to the ceremony too — something fans think she purposely did out of jealousy.

Like countless other celebs, the makeup mogul was invited to Vanity Fair's after-party, but instead of referencing the bash in her caption, she simply wrote, "OSCARS 2022." The mom-of-four was instantly called out by commenters, with one quipping, "I guess Kourtney had too much attention today." Noted another, "You were not actually there."

An insider spilled to The Sun that not receiving an invite to the actual awards show is taking a toll on the Skims founder, who's used to being the most popular of her brood.

"Kim is so happy for Kourtney, but part of her wonders if she is slipping on the social scale," shared the source. "For the first time, Kourtney is receiving as much if not more attention than her, while her name is mostly just tied to Kanye [West] and their messy divorce."

"She isn't jealous of Kourtney necessarily, but I think it stings a little that she was invited to the Oscars because Kim has always been desperate to be accepted by the Hollywood elite and wants to be taken seriously," the source continued "Watching Kourtney walk the red carpet was bittersweet, but she’s extremely proud of her and loves seeing her happy with Travis after years of being on and off with Scott [Disick]."

For the bash, Kim wore a skintight bright blue Balenciaga gown that had a long train and covered the entirety of her body, including her fingertips. She also donned a pair of silver sunglasses, diamond earrings and black booties.

The outfit left fans divided: while one called her a "queen," many thought the dress was too similar to her past ensembles. "Getting kinda bored of the the same look for the last 2 years," admitted one fan, while another explained, "I love Kim just wish she could go back to her cute style."
