Kim Kardashian is ready for her big moment!

After OK! was the first to spill the Keeping Up with the Kardashians alum was set to host Saturday Night Live October 9, alongside musical guest Halsey, the reality TV star has embarked on NYC to start practicing. The 40-year-old was snapped outside of her hotel heading to the NBC studios to begin rehearsals for her hosting gig.

After the SKIMS founder was announced as a host in the sketch-comedy series’ 47th season, many flocked to social media to share their disgruntled feelings about the decision, including actress Debra Messing.

“Why Kim Kardashian? I mean, I know she is a cultural icon, but SNL has hosts, generally, who are performers who are there to promote a film, TV show, or album launch,” the Will & Grace alum tweeted on Wednesday, September 22. “Am I missing something?”

The musical guest choice for her SNL hosting debut is an interesting one, as the “Without Me” songstress is besties with Kardashian and her estranged ex Kanye West’s nemesis Taylor Swift.

The hit NBC series is hoping the mother-of-four’s star power can boost ratings following a disastrous season premiere. The Saturday, October 2, show hosted by actor Owen Wilson with musical guest Kacey Musgraves was down a whopping 35% in views from last season’s premiere, according to The Wrap.
