Kourtney Kardashian & Travis Barker Are Officially Engaged
Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker are officially engaged.
According to TMZ, the Blink-182 drummer popped the question in Montecito, Calif., on Sunday, October 17. In footage obtained by the outlet, the 45-year-old leads Kardashian, 42, onto the beach where a stunning arrangement of red roses and candles awaited her.
The reality star also took to Instagram to share two photos from the romantic moment that she captioned, "forever" while tagging her future husband. Barker commented on the post, "FOREVER".
It didn't take long for Kardashian and Barker's loved ones to chime in and send their blessings. Kim Kardashian commented three red heart emojis and three diamond ring emojis. Addison Rae wrote, "IM SCREAMING". Kylie Jenner took to her Instagram Story to share photos from what appears to be a menu from a pre-proposal dinner, and a zoomed-in shot of her eldest sister's diamond engagement ring.
Barker's daughter Alabama (the rocker shares both the 15-year-old and son Landon with ex-wife Shanna Moakler) also congratulated the two, writing, "Love u guys" with a red heart emoji and praying hands emoji.
It appears fans may get a chance to watch the proposal go down on the famous family's upcoming Hulu series, too. After his father got down on one knee, Landon shared a video from the celebratory dinner on his Instagram Story — and a camera man can be seen in the background capturing the intimate gathering.
Kardashian — who shares Mason, 11, Penelope, 9, and Reign, 6, with ex-boyfriend Scott Disick — and Barker previously sparked engagement speculation in July. As OK! previously reported, the Poosh founder cheekily captioned several shots of the two enjoying some PDA in Las Vegas, "What happens in Vegas."
The neighbors-turned-couple — who both reside in the same Calabasas community – confirmed they were dating on Valentine's Day, when Kardashian posted a photo of two holding hands. It appeared the two had gotten serious rather quickly, with Barker getting the KUWTK star's name tatted on his chest, and the two engaging in PDA on multiple occasions.
Barker has credited Kardashian with inspiring him to conquer his fear of flying following a fatal 2008 plane crash that left him in need of 26 surgeries and 65% of his body burned.
In August, he took to Instagram to share a photo of himself holding Kardashian up as the two shared a kiss in front of an airplane en route to Cabo San Lucas. He captioned the sweet snap, “With you anything is possible” tagging Kardashian alongside a black heart emoji.
The mom-of-three shared her beau’s post on her Instagram Story adding, “anything and everything with you @travisbarker”.
In September, Barker opened up about how Kardashian had inspired him to overcome his fears. “It's still something very new to me, but having something that gives me the strength and hope to be able to overcome things that were so traumatic in my life, it just says a ton,” he told Nylon. “She's definitely that for me. I'm invincible when I'm with her. It’s like I never dreamed, I never even considered flying again.”
Days later, Barker tweeted, "Flew 5 times in the last month," adding, "ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE."
