Former Arizona Sen. Kyrsten Sinema discussed her affair with her former bodyguard, Matthew Ammel, in her testimony linked to a lawsuit filed by his ex-wife, Heather Ammel.
Kyrsten, 50, noted during a July 31 deposition that she had sexual relations with Matthew several times in 2024, court fillings stated.

Heather Ammel is looking for over $75,000 in damages in the case.
Heather sued Kyrsten back in January under North Carolina’s alienation of affection law, claiming Kyrsten “willfully and intentionally” beguiled her husband of 14 years.

Kyrsten Sinema Recalled Kissing Matthew Ammel In Their Napa Airbnb

Kyrsten Sinema noted her affair with Matthew Ammel began in 2024.
The politician did argue, however, that she should not be sued under the North Carolina law as her affair did not occur in the South.
According to the deposition transcript, Kyrsten said: “We were staying at an Airbnb in Napa, Calif. We were outside. Matt kissed me. We went inside and had s--.”
The liaison continued on for a month after the California encounter, with Matthew and Kyrsten also meeting up in Manhattan.
Kyrsten was in the Big Apple to attend CNN anchor Jessica Dean's wedding. While Matthew and Kyrsten were in separate hotel rooms during the trip, she recalled getting “intimate” at her lodging.

Kyrsten Sinema Said She Knew Matthew Ammel Was Married

Kyrsten Sinema noted her liaison with Matthew Ammel went on for months.
In the subsequent months, Kyrsten recounted having a sexual relationship with Matthew in places such as her Washington, D.C., apartment, during a vacation to Aspen, Colo., and at her house in Phoenix, Ariz.
She also acknowledged she knew Matthew was married and had three children.
A series of text messages between the two were also uncovered during the legal proceeding.

“Putting my hand on my heart. I’ll see you soon. I miss you,” one note from Kyrsten said that was sent in October 2024.
When she was asked if she understood why “a wife reading this might get concerned about who is sending her husband that kind of message,” Kyrsten replied: “Yes.”
Heather then blasted Matthew in her deposition and called him an “established liar and manipulator." She also labeled Kyrsten as an “insidious” woman who is “willing to break up a family" in a message she penned to Matthew in June 2024,
An evidentiary hearing is now set to take place on August 19.
