Mike Tindall Takes No Prisoners as 'Sussex Cheerleader' Omid Scobie's Fans Branded 'F—--- Nuts' in Ex-Rugby Player's New Book

Mike Tindall had choice words for Omid Scobie's followers.
Mike Tindall's new book, The Good, the Bad & the Rugby — Unleashed, co-written with James Haskell, contains a passage that specifically targets Sussex "cheerleader" Omid Scobie's online followers.
The co-author starts by calling Scobie, who has written two bestselling biographies on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, a "very odd bloke" before adding: "We all know that American royal fans are f------ nuts, especially Scobieites," which is the name given to the scribe's fans.

Mike Tindall said he tries to avoid using X due to negative social media engagement.
Many analysts are calling the specific targeting of Scobie as vengeance for the author of Endgame criticizing the ex-rugby player for "cashing in" on being married to Zara Tindall, Princess Anne's daughter.
Mike responds to this as well as negative social media attention in general within the tome. He wrote, "I don’t even have access to my Twitter. I just [get] tagged in by anyone who’s talking about anything. It’s so random, what I have to sift through."
He continued, "If there’s any story about me or my kids, it will get entangled into a web of something else, and I’m tagged into reading all this crap."
The father-of-three then pointed out: "That’s the world we live in. Some have got nothing better to do than bag people."

Author Omid Scobie said that Mike Tindall tried to 'cash in' on his royal connection through his royal-by-birth spouse, Zara Tindall.
This junior royal-by-marriage public takedown follows news that Prince William is trying to "reassure" Kate, Princess of Wales, that there is nothing to worry about regarding Scobie's new fictionalized series Royal Spin, which is in development.
"The synopsis of the show mirrors Meghan and Harry's story while hiding behind the guise of a fictional drama, and Kate is incredibly worried about potential storylines," an insider spilled to a publication in August.
The new show is an adaptation of his upcoming fiction book of the same name, co-written with young adult novelist Robin Benway. The series will delve into the chaotic world of the Buckingham Palace Press Office, centering on an American political strategist who is brought in to help manage the royal family's public image amid scandals and internal conflicts.

Omid Scobie's 2023 book 'Endgame' criticized the British monarchy under King Charles III.
Although Mike carries out no official engagements for the British royal family and is not titled, his criticism of the author is still seen by many to be "a slippery slope" since his mother-in-law is a senior, working royal.
Mike and Zara have been married since 2011, and the former also shared a rare insight into how he views his royal connection, although distant from the core working component of the Crown.
"Believe it or not, marrying into the royal family was pretty easy for me," he wrote. "They were always nice to me, and I was always nice to them. Simple really."
