Nelly is still making hearts throb.
In a recent viral TikTok video, the 47-year-old singer is seen giving his jacket to a young girl who was standing outside in the cold after his concert.
The girl’s mother posted the video of her 12-year-old’s adorable encounter with the artist, writing that her daughter was “living out her dreams.”
“Don’t you come out there no more without that jacket,” Nelly says in the clip while draping his jacket around the girl.
“Made her life, he was so sweet to her,” the mother wrote, along with a caption below the video, which read: “Seeing @nelly in person, AMAZING! He was so sweet to her & the show was awesome!”
The video had over 6 million views and nearly 20,000 comments, where fans were falling for the rapper all over again.
“That’s one lucky young lady BUT I’m astonished by his kindness and genuine caring about a strangers well being round of 👏👏👏 to Nelly!” one user wrote, to which the video’s creator responded, “He was so sweet to her. So humble.”
The woman who posted the video also later responded to a comment about the jacket, writing that “it smells SOOOO good.”
Another user commented: “You can tell he’s a dad,” while another gushed, “Side note: Nelly is still sooo fine.”
Nelly — whose full name is Cornell Iral Haynes Jr. — has two biological children, Cornell III and Chanelle. He also raised his niece and nephew Sydney and Shawn after his sister Jackie Donahue died from leukemia in 2005.
In 2017, the “Just a Dream” singer was arrested and charged with second degree rape after then-college student Monique Greene claimed that he assaulted her before one of his concerts.
However, a week later the case was dropped after Greene reportedly did not want to testify in court or cooperate with the investigation.
A rep for Nelly released a statement after the arrest, insisting that Greene’s claims were “a completely fabricated allegation,” per People.
“Our initial investigation clearly establishes this allegation is devoid of credibility and is motivated by greed and vindictiveness,” Nelly’s attorney said at the time. “Nelly is prepared to address and pursue all legal avenues to redress any damage caused by this clearly false allegation.”
Nelly maintained that he was “completely innocent” despite the allegations against him.
