North West, 13, Raps About ‘Betrayal’ and ‘Suffering’ as She Shows Off Colorful New Look After Canceling Tour

North West explored intense emotions through her latest music release, with the 13-year-old rapper touching on themes of "betrayal" and "suffering" in her new song "Aishite."

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s daughter released the track on August 6, alongside a horror-inspired music video that showed off a dramatic new look as she performed the dark-themed song.

North portrayed a haunting character while walking through the halls of a school and an arcade in the music video. She embraced a bold transformation with white lipstick featuring a black skull design, black teeth, and an icy blue wig styled in pigtails.

In the first verse, she rapped, "Ayy, ain’t nobody finna save me / Ayy, and it’s drivin’ me crazy (Crazy) / Why can’t I escape? ‘Cause they chase me (They chase me) / Just love me, everyone betrays me."

She continued, "I’m seein' blood daily (Daily)/ What? And it’s drivin’ me crazy (Crazy)/ Yeah, can’t escape ’cause they chase me."

However, in another verse, North touched on feelings of isolation, rapping, "She pretend, they ain’t usin’ me again (What?) / Can’t be no one’s friend, I can’t let nobody in," before adding, "Can’t depend on anyone, the sufferin’ won’t end."

After the music video was released, several viewers reacted to the emotional themes explored in the song.

One user wrote, "This song is really sad. I was depressed at 13 too , hopefully North gets the love and support she needs from somewhere."

Another person commented, "She's rebelling everything her family represents... beauty, youth, glamor, she's showing darkness, black teeth while everyone trying to get the most glowing look, she's telling the dark side. A13 year old, it's sad and disturbing."

The release came shortly after North canceled her first headlining tour with Molly Santana, per Page Six. The 14-date Kimokawaii Tour was set to begin less than a week after the cancellation announcement.

Before the cancellation, North teased that fans could expect something special in the future through a since-deleted post.

"I was really excited to go on tour with Molly Santana," she told her followers while promising "something special" in the future.

"See ya soon," she concluded.

Following the tour cancellation, per JustJared, Molly addressed her fans from her side.

She said, "To everyone who bought tickets to the tour, I sincerely apologize. I know a lot of you have taken time out of your busy schedules and spent your hard earned money planning to be there."

Before the cancellation, North and Molly had already taken the stage together at Rolling Loud in Miami in May, marking North’s first music festival appearance.

The performance came after the release of her EP, "N0rth4evr."

Kim previously opened up about North’s passion for creating music, noting that her daughter shared a similar confidence to her father, Kanye, when it came to pursuing her creative interests.

"She loves producing music and wanted to share it with the world and isn’t afraid if people will like it," the reality star told Complex at the time.

Kim continued, "She’s like her dad in that if she likes it, that’s enough for her, and she doesn’t really care about outside opinions. I’m proud of her for that, for releasing music, having fun with it, and doing it her own way."
