Pam Bondi claimed she's "grateful" for Donald Trump just hours after he fired her from her attorney general position on Thursday, April 2.
Bondi took to social media, writing, "Over the next month I will be working tirelessly to transition the office of Attorney General to the amazing Todd Blanche before moving to an important private sector role I am thrilled about, and where I will continue fighting for President Trump and this Administration."

Former Attorney General Pam Bondi said she was 'thrilled' to take on a new position after she was fired.
"Leading President Trump’s historic and highly successful efforts to make America safer and more secure has been the honor of a lifetime, and easily the most consequential first year of the Department of Justice in American history," she continued, going on to brag about her accomplishments.

The president fired Pam Bondi on Thursday, April 2.
"Since February 2025, we have secured the lowest murder rate in 125 years, secured first-ever terrorism convictions against members of Antifa, shattered domestic and transnational gangs across the country, taken custody of more than 90 key cartel figures, and won 24 favorable rulings at the Supreme Court," Bondi explained. "I remain eternally grateful for the trust that President Trump placed in me to Make America Safe Again."
Blanch responded to the news by stating, "Pam Bondi led this Department with strength and conviction and I’m grateful for her leadership and friendship."
Bondi getting the boot came as she continues to be heavily criticized for the way she handled the investigation into the Jeffrey Epstein files.

Donald Trump Called Pam Bondi a 'Loyal Friend'

The POTUS called Pam Bondi 'a great American patriot and a loyal friend.'
The POTUS confirmed the staffing change in a Truth Social post.
"Pam Bondi is a Great American Patriot and a loyal friend, who faithfully served as my Attorney General over the past year," he penned. "We love Pam, and she will be transitioning to a much needed and important new job in the private sector, to be announced at a date in the near future."

Lee Zeldin is a top pick to replace Pam Bondi.
CNN reported Environmental Protection Agency administrator Lee Zeldin is one of Trump's top choices to take over Bondi's old role.
Bondi is still set to testify before the House Oversight Committee on Tuesday, April 14, in regards to the "possible mismanagement of the federal government's investigation of Mr. Jeffrey Epstein and Ms. Ghislaine Maxwell," committee Chairman James Comer revealed in March.
