Surprise! Patrick J. Adams & Troian Bellisario Secretly Welcome Second Child
Pretty little baby! Troian Bellisario and Patrick J. Adams revealed they are now a family-of-four after quietly welcoming their second daughter a few weeks ago.
“Ms Elliot Rowena Adams joined us on May 15th under the wildest of circumstances,” the Pretty Little Liars alum, 35, captioned a sweet photo of herself holding the newborn Friday, June 4, on Instagram. “A whole new ERA for this family. Welcome, my love.”
Proud papa Adams, 39, shared a photo of his own. “+1…..Welcome to the funhouse, Ms. Elliot Rowena Adams,” the Suits alum wrote alongside a shot of his daughter grasping his finger. “May your life be as unique and exciting as your arrival.”
The couple, married since December 2016, had not previously announced they were expecting.
This isn’t the first time Bellisario and Adams have prioritized their family's privacy, however. Though the pair welcomed 2-year-old daughter Aurora in October 2018, they chose not to reveal her name until a year later.
They’ve also opted to not share photos of their eldest daughter’s face on social media — and will likely follow suit when it comes to their youngest.
After Aurora’s birth, Bellisario thanked her inner circle for keeping their exciting news hush-hush. “I cannot express how grateful I am. To the people who have protected us and kept our growing family safe and respected our privacy,” she wrote on Instagram at the time.
In 2019, the Feed actress opened up about her fears of raising a daughter. “I was thinking about my relationship with my mother. I was thinking about my history with my eating disorder,” she explained during an appearance on the "Katie’s Crib" podcast, recalling, “This is horrifying.”
But ultimately, she admitted, her fears diminished once she laid eyes on her firstborn. “Immediately, I just didn’t want to be apart from her,” Bellisario added. “I couldn’t stop staring at her. I felt immediate love, responsibility, admiration for her.”
