Perez Hilton was rushed to the hospital after doctors discovered a "massive" blood clot in his body.
“Last night, I started having real soreness and pain in one of my legs. This morning, it got way worse. I couldn’t even walk. I had to use a walker,” the influencer, 48, said in a video shared via Instagram on Thursday, April 2. “I’ve already seen some of the nurses who took care of me for 21 days when I was here fighting and beating sepsis thanks to these amazing doctors, nurses and God. Now I’m back, and I have to have emergency surgery."

Perez Hilton revealed he was rushed to emergency surgery.
The influencer noted if the blood clot had progressed to his lungs or heart, it "could have been real bad."
"I’m happy because we caught it early and the amazing medical team at Southern Hills is going to make this a piece of cake, and God’s got me," he continued. "And if you want to send prayers, that would be appreciated."

Hilton shared an update following his surgery on Friday, April 3, telling his followers, "everything went so well."
"The thrombectomy surgery this morning was quick and painless. I was asleep for it all. And I feel so much better already!" he raved in a lengthy post via Instagram. "Excited to go home tomorrow without any pain! I couldn’t even walk yesterday!"

Perez Hilton Was Diagnosed With Sepsis
Perez Hilton spent 21 days in the hospital earlier this year.
Hilton's latest health scare comes months after he spent 21 days in a hospital following a sepsis diagnosis.
“It was the worst and best thing that’s ever happened to me,” he recalled of the experience in a March 23 YouTube video. “It was such a slow process. I mean, two weeks of just sickness and then another week of getting better before I was released. The last week was h---, because I had already been in the hospital two weeks by then. I was like, ‘I just want to go home. I just want to be with my babies.’”
Perez Hilton vowed to take his children to church every week after his health scare.
In the video, Hilton called the ordeal "life changing" and vowed to focus more on his children at home.
"I'm ashamed of myself. I felt this need to produce for my family so much, that I was doing this and that but not doing the little things," he admitted. "It's the little things that matter. It was grandma who would do dinner with the kids every night. No more. I'm going to have dinner with my kids and my mom every night."
