Phoebe Bridgers Praised for Showing Off Leg Hair and Sweat Stains at Venice Film Festival: 'Stunning'

Phoebe Bridgers is currently making waves at the Venice Film Festival, where she’s been proudly embracing natural beauty.

The stunning singer has received widespread praise from fans after she showed off both her armpit sweat stains and her leg hair at the festival, in contrast to the extreme grooming one usually finds on the red carpet.

In an Instagram post recapping her time at the festival, Bridgers shared gorgeous photos of her sheer Alexander McQueen gown on the red carpet and on the famous Venetian taxi boats, plus photos with Robert Pattinson and other movie insiders.

However, one photo wasn't like the rest: In a selfie, the musician showed a dark underarm sweat stain that contrasted with her light-colored dress.

Naturally, the comments were deeply appreciative of Bridgers destigmatizing a normal human bodily function like sweating.

"The sweat stains make me feel seen," one person wrote.

"The sweat community says thank you, Phoebe," said another.

"Pit sweat real af," added someone else.

Bridgers' famous pals had just as little chill about how lovely she looked for the event as the rest of us.

Singer Laufey wrote, "I have no words. stunning."

Beabadoobee said, "🧝‍♀️😍."

Benito Skinner (a.k.a. Benny Drama) commented, "Insane."

Owen Thiele added, "Gorgeous."

During a different event, Bridgers wore a short Gucci skirt suit that showed off her leg hair. Online commenters appeared more divided about this.

After People posted about it on Instagram, one commenter said, "Oh for heaven’s sake. This is ridiculous."

Someone else added the dramatic words, "Society is falling."

However, over on Reddit, people were happy to see Bridgers embracing her natural body hair.

"Oh my god she doesn’t shave her legs?? That’s so cool," one person said.

"She also didn’t wax between her brows. So refreshing to see," added someone else.

A third person wrote, "No, seriously. I desperately wish we could normalize this on a larger scale and I’m thankful for the few celebrities that are doing it. I hate shaving my legs and I hate that society still expects it. She looks amazing and cool!"

The star is primarily a singer, but she has an acting role in the new movie Primetime, which comes out September 25.

The psychological crime thriller also stars Pattinson, Anna Faris, Merritt Wever and Creed Bratton.
