Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly relocating back to the United Kingdom in a surprising move, with King Charles ‘welcoming’ the chance to see them more.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are headed back over the pond in a shock move more than six years after giving up their status as working members of the royal family.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, along with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, are relocating to the U.K. for an "extended amount of time" starting this month, People reported on Wednesday, August 19.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Are Headed Back to the United Kingdom

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry gave up their status as working royals in 2020.
The children are expected to begin school in Britain in September. The couple is also expected to establish a private, non-royal home there, with the location of the new residence and the children's schools "being closely guarded."
King Charles was reportedly "made aware" of Harry, 41, and Meghan's plans on Sunday, August 16, and "welcomes" the opportunity to spend more time with them in a "private and personal capacity."
The outlet reported that the monarch was "clear" that there has been no change to Harry and Meghan's status as private individuals and non-working members of the royal family.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Long-Term Plan Remains Unclear

Meghan Markle traveled to the U.K. with her children last month, marking the trio's first reunion with King Charles since June 2022.
Though their long-term plans are unclear, Meghan, 45, would reportedly still be running her lifestyle brand As Ever, and Harry was expected to spend "significantly more time supporting U.K.-based charities and patronages."
As OK! previously reported, Meghan and Harry returned to the United Kingdom in July, where the Suits actress and her children reunited with the king, 77, for the first time in years.

In People's latest report, those close to Meghan and Harry believe they have "successfully executed" the "half in, half out" role with their recent relocation back to the U.K.
They added that the couple has finally "built the independent life they envisioned," allowing them to financially support themselves without relying on taxpayer funding.
The report also suggested that Harry was finally comfortable basing his family in his home country after formerly having security concerns.
