Prince Harry allegedly pitched a fit during negotiations to meet with his father, King Charles III, and after the monarch reportedly "snubbed" his son during the Duke's Wednesday, May 8, trip to Britain.

This led GBN broadcaster Tom Harwood to state on air that His Majesty "could have made time" to see his child. Royal expert Angela Levin shot back: "I really hate it when I hear people saying that. He has just been allowed to go out, he's still having a lot of care because he has cancer. And you don't do that to a King."

Prince Harry previously met with King Charles in London on February 6, 2024.

"Harry's actually tried to make his visit impossible," she added. "He's done it two or three times by giving no time before he comes over, not saying when he's going to be there. He also keeps on saying he wants apologies before they have a proper conversation, and he often bullies his father for money."

The author spent long amounts of time with the Duke of Sussex as she wrote a comprehensive book all about him titled, Harry: A Biography of a Prince, which was published two weeks before he married Meghan Markle.

"I was with him for 15 months in 2017 to write his biography, he was lovely," Levin observed. "He was very flexible. But since he's got married, he is not flexible. He's demanding, and he gets angry and, he won't give in. He won't agree to compromise."

The 75-year-old King, who is still receiving cancer treatments, was busy on the day Harry's Invictus Games were celebrated at St Paul's Cathedral. His Majesty attended the first Buckingham Palace Garden Party of the season, which requires chit-chat with numerous guests while standing in the warm, spring weather.

Harwood's co-host, Emily Carver, told Levin: "Prince Harry was coming to the U.K. anyway for this Invictus Games event. He didn't bring his children with him, didn't bring his wife. He clearly hadn't intended to necessarily use this trip as a get-together as an olive branch to his father. But yet he gets his spokesperson to say it's the King's diary that's far too full?"

Levin concluded by agreeing the prince could have been "twisting the narrative," and replied: "Harry could have made an effort. I don't think it would be a good idea to go to the garden party, because the King has to go round to everybody else. But he could have actually said if I see you just for a few minutes afterward — 'I know you're very tired, but let me pop round' — I think he's demanding. He doesn't give in, he won't compromise. And it's really, really sad."
