'She Has the Best People Looking After Her': Princess Kate's Uncle Reassures Public That Future Queen Is Well Cared For
Kate, Princess of Wales' uncle Gary Goldsmith was recently evicted from Celebrity Big Brother but is making the talk show rounds to offer updates about his regal niece's well-being.
"I think she's got the best support infrastructure on the planet," Goldsmith told GBN's Nigel Farage when discussing her recovery from abdominal surgery two months ago.
"She has got the best people looking after her. I just don't understand all this stuff at the moment," he added when referring to the "#Where'sKate?" social media frenzy surrounding her absence from public life and the botched Mother's Day photo she edited.
"Well, the photograph didn't help, did it?" Farage asked.
"When it came out, I said there's not a chance in h--- that Catherine would have photoshopped that herself," the businessman replied. "And then she says she did, so my inside track went sideways there. What the obvious thing that I can see in the picture is that they are a beautiful family. And the smiles should have been the center stage, not sleeve gate."
Goldsmith's insights come amid recent reports that are suggesting a frenzy of chaos has broken out at Kensington Palace — Prince William and Kate's bases of operations — ever since the debacle began on Sunday, March 10. The heir to the throne and his consort's future courtiers have been labeled as "disgraceful" due to apparently allowing the future queen to take to social media and "fully take the blame" for the now-infamous pic.
"I'm just so sad and sort of frustrated about the whole thing because I feel so sorry for Catherine," royal expert Richard Eden dished. "Essentially, she's been under so much pressure from people saying 'We want a photo, we want to know how she is, tell us how she is.' And she finally issues this photograph, it's taken by Prince William — they make that clear when they issue the photograph."
He continued: "It's not some personal thing, it's issued by Kensington Palace communications people and then she has been thrown under a bus. The officials made it public. They gave it out, it's their job. I think it's absolutely disgraceful that they've said to her 'You go and explain what you did.' No, it's your job. Take some responsibility."

Scouts on social media noticed a litany of editing mishaps, with Charlotte's hands being called out as "clearly cut and paste" from previous images. Conspiracies even arose that the photo of the Princess of Wales was an old image from when she appeared in a magazine years ago.
Kate issued an apology for altering the image on her and William's social media accounts, which is a rare thing for a senior, British royal to do. Monarchy traditionalists quickly scolded Her Royal Highness for "playing to the gallery," which is one of the distinctions of royalty in that no response "kills the sensationalism," according to a palace insider.
