Rihanna's dad is ready to be a grandfather!
As previously reported by OK!, the "Umbrella" singer is expecting her first child with boyfriend A$AP Rocky. The couple revealed the news when Rihanna, who was born Robyn Rihanna Fenty, showed off her baby bump during a stroll with her soon-to-be baby daddy in New York City over the weekend.
The Fenty Beauty founder's dad, Ronald Fenty, told Page Six that he was ecstatic about the news. "I’m so happy that I jumped for joy. I’m still so excited," he gushed.
He added that his daughter always said she wanted to have kids of her own. "She always takes care of her cousins’ kids…she’s going to be a good mom," he maintained to the outlet.
He revealed that Rihanna called him on Sunday, January 30, to let him know about her bun in the oven. "She sent me some photos. I’m just over the moon," he reportedly continued. "She’s beautiful inside and out."
He also gave the "Fashion Killa" singer his seal of approval. Rihanna introduced her boyfriend to her dad when they visited Barbados in December 2020. Ronald told the outlet A$AP was a "very cool guy," admitting: "I like him."

The father-daughter duo has had some tension in their relationship in recent years, but they seem to have reconciled since then.
In 2019, the "Diamonds" singer sued her father for false advertising and invasion of privacy. She accused him and Moses Perkins of exploiting her name without permission through their Fenty Entertainment company. She alleged they had been soliciting business by acting as agents for her.
However, in September 2021, she filed to dismiss the case, per BBC. They are believed to have reached an out-of-court settlement.
As previously reported by OK!, insiders suspect A$AP, who was born Rakim Athelaston Mayers, may pop the question sometime soon. "Rocky absolutely feels that Rihanna is the perfect person for him, and he can’t imagine his life without her," spilled a source.
Meanwhile, the "Everyday" crooner is confident that he will be a good dad. He previously told GQ that he would be "an incredible, remarkably, overall amazing dad." He added that his future child would be "very fly."
Rihanna and Rocky were first linked in 2020.
