This should be the happiest time of her life, but Rihanna just can't seem to catch a break.
In January, the songstress, 34, announced she and beau A$AP Rocky were expecting by proudly flaunting her baby bump. But on April 15, she was rocked by reports the rapper, 33, had cheated on her with Amina Muaddi, a shoe designer who worked on her Fenty line.
Though Muaddi refuted the claims as “fake gossip,” the news sent shock waves through the couple’s inner circles. “Rocky is adamant there’s no substance to these rumors,” an insider tells OK! “[But] there’s no smoke without fire.”
Things quickly went from bad to worse. On April 20, Rocky (real name Rakim Mayers) was arrested at LAX airport on felony charges after a trip to Rihanna's native Barbados in connection with a 2021 shooting. The insider says the disturbing allegations came as a shock to Rihanna, who was reportedly by his side as he was handcuffed.

“She can’t believe this is happening,” adds the insider. “It feels like another blemish on a whole list of them.” A source says Rihanna’s “beyond stressed” over Rocky’s drama. The rapper was released on bond and has a court date set for August 17. If convicted, he could face up to 14 years in jail.
As Rihanna’s due date nears, loved ones are rallying around the star. “They’re doing their best to calm her down,” says the insider, noting that the singer’s dreams of a peaceful delivery have been all but dashed amid the drama.
“The plan was for Rihanna to give birth in Barbados and she’ll be totally devastated if Rocky’s not in the room when she welcomes their child.”
In the meantime, Rihanna’s doing her best to concentrate on the baby. “It’s no surprise that she’s extremely distressed,” continues the insider. “She may act tough and put on a brave face in public, but privately she's an emotional wreck."
