Ruby Rose is spinning out of Sherman Oaks! The DJ turned actress just sold her L.A. abode for $2.1 million — $5,000 over her asking price and $300,000 over what she paid for the place back in 2017.
Located north of Mulholland Drive, the midcentury modern home was built in 1958 but received a major makeover before the 35-year-old moved in. (Changes to the 2,243-square foot single-story included new bathrooms and hardwood floors, brass light fixtures and a completely renovated kitchen with designer appliances.) Entering from the street, guests make their way through a privacy gate and pass a hedge wall of jasmine before arriving at the front door.
Inside the three-bedroom, three bathroom pad boasts an open floor plan and several sliding glass doors, letting in tons of natural light and allowing easy access to the lush backyard. Not one to shy away from color, the Orange Is the New Black alum decorated with plenty of funky touches (think: patterned wallpaper, quirky knick-knacks and eye-catching artwork) and a mix of contemporary and vintage furnishings.
While there’s no word on where Rose is off to next, chances are she isn’t eyeing a full-time move back to her native Australia, where she owns a bush cabin in the state of Victoria. With three movies due out this year alone, it seems the former Batwoman star’s Hollywood career is still soaring!
Sweet spot! The hillside home was designed by architect Frank A. Dubsky.
The step-down living room has a cozy fireplace.
“Finally bought myself a new couch,” the actress wrote in March, noting that her previous one “was only comfortable in my spot but not really for anyone else!”
You can pump up the beats in the breakfast nook, which includes turntables and speakers.
