Salma Hayek, 59, celebrated a major family milestone after becoming a grandmother, as her stepson, François Pinault Jr., welcomed his first child with his wife, Lara Cosima Henckel von Donnersmarck.
Hayek announced the news on Instagram on Monday, August 17, sharing a sweet video of herself cradling the newborn and speaking to him in Spanish. The baby boy continued a special family tradition by receiving the same first name as his father and grandfather.

Salma Hayek celebrated becoming a grandmother after her stepson, François Pinault Jr. welcomed his first child.
The actress revealed how she planned to affectionately address the newest addition to the family while celebrating his arrival.
"We are blessed to welcome the fourth living generation of Francois’. Although I will call him Panchito. He seems to love it, and I cannot love him more," she wrote in the caption.
A New Generation Joined the Pinault Family
Salma Hayek embraced her role as a stepmother to François-Henri Pinault's three children.
Henckel von Donnersmarck also shared photos of the baby on Instagram on August 12, including heartwarming pictures with her husband and a glimpse of the couple adjusting to life as new parents.
Her post captured the family’s celebration while highlighting the special connection between father and son.
"My husband (the world’s coolest françois) and our son (the world’s cutest françois)," she said.
She also hinted at the timing of the baby’s arrival, writing, "our first month as parents."

The Eternals actress became a stepmother when she married François-Henri Pinault, 64, in 2009. The French businessman has three children from previous relationships: François Jr. and Mathilde, 19, with ex-wife Dorothée Lepère, and Augustin Evangelista Pinault, with former partner Linda Evangelista.
The couple also share an 18-year-old daughter, Valentina.
The blended family came together in June 2025, when the Hollywood star posted pictures on Instagram to celebrate Augustin's high school graduation, with Salma, her husband and Linda marking the milestone together.
Salma Hayek opened up about motherhood and her close bond with her children while balancing her career.
Over the years, Salma has spoken warmly about her family dynamic and her experience raising children from different relationships. During a 2017 interview with Red magazine, she spoke candidly about the personal emotions surrounding motherhood.
"I’ve had that yearning, that longing, and that pain… I always wanted to have a lot of children, and I was not able to. My body, as a miracle, had one," she said.
The Grown Ups star also reflected on the dynamic she shared with all four children in her family,
"The huge blessing I’ve had is that my husband has three other children. So I have four. And they are all so different," she added.
The entertainment icon previously opened up about keeping her daughter close while balancing her career.
"I try to be with Valentina as much as possible, even when I’m working. She was with me on the cover shoot and she felt like a participant – she wasn’t just sitting there on the iPad. This is so important. You have to drag children into participating in life," she said.
