Congrats! Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson announced she is expecting baby No. 2 with her husband, Andrew East, one year after giving birth to their daughter, Drew Hazel.

“Here we go again! #babyeast,” Johnson captioned a photo of her cradling her baby bump in a black dress via Instagram on Friday.
The proud papa shared an Instagram video of himself kissing his wife’s stomach. “Congratulations,” pro soccer player Cheyna Lee commented on their announcement, while podcast host Luke Rodgers wrote, “Love you guys so much. So happy for you❤️.”
The happy couple documented their pregnancy journey in a YouTube video released the same day. “We’re pregnant,” the couple gushed while holding up baby socks.
She ended their video with an inspirational message to her fans. “If you are pregnant, trying to get pregnant, if you’re trying to adopt, if you’re in the process of expanding your family or recently suffering from a loss, we are praying for you," Johnson said. “We love you.”
Johnson and her husband welcomed their first child in November 2019 following a miscarriage two years prior. Johnson previously wasn’t sure if she was ready to have another baby. “If it were up to my husband, yes, we would already be pregnant,” she told Us Weekly in May 2020, adding that “he’s ready for No. 2 already. I just want some time to drink wine and eat sushi, enjoy our daughter and then it’d be time.”
The gymnast expressed that her full attention was on her little girl at the time. “Drew has a personality,” she gushed, noting that the toddler was growing up so fast. “She’s getting ready to crawl, so she can’t crawl yet. But she can somehow move herself from point A to point B, and I don’t understand it.”
