Actor William Lucking Dead At 80, 'Sons Of Anarchy' Costars Pay Tribute
Actor William Lucking has died at the age of 80.
He reportedly passed away on October 18 in his home in Las Vegas. His cause of death has not been revealed.
"Although William often played toughs and strongmen, in his actual life he was an elegant man with a brilliant intellect who loved to argue about politics and current affairs, discuss philosophy and physics, and assert fine-pointed opinions about art and poetry," an obituary written by his wife Sigrid Lucking read.
His family asked in the obituary that "you toast his memory and celebrate his legacy."
Lucking made his onscreen debut when he appeared on an episode of Ironside in 1968. He later starred in Mission: Impossible, NYPD Blue, The X-Files and The West Wing.
Lucking joined the Sons of Anarchy cast in 2008 during the show's debut season. He remained on the show until the fourth season in 2011.

He is survived by his wife and two daughters, Marjet Lucking and Juliana Ryan.
Friends, fans and costars paid tribute to Lucking on social media.
"RIP sir….. it was such an honor to work with you on @SonsofAnarchy. You had a presence unlike any other. You will truly be missed," Kristen Renton tweeted.
"Never ever gonna forget this guy," Kim Coates tweeted. "Billy broke the mold of pretty much everything he did and accomplished. The times we all had on set are legendary… just like Piney … Miss you brother. RIP."
"Bill Lucking was a friend for 46 years," Stephen Macht shared on Facebook. "Bill truly was a 'lion,' and his memory will always be a blessing!"
"When Bill was on set I was never far away. He shared his Wisdom. Love. Knowledge. Friendship. Few Stories.. Effortless actor. Roll camera, man’s granite. Beautiful human," SOA costar Tommy Flanagan wrote on Instagram. "Rest William Lucking. Love and condolences to his family. Incredible wife. 'Mrs Bill' ♥️"
