Actor William Lucking has died at the age of 80.
He reportedly passed away on October 18 in his home in Las Vegas. His cause of death has not been revealed.
"Although William often played toughs and strongmen, in his actual life he was an elegant man with a brilliant intellect who loved to argue about politics and current affairs, discuss philosophy and physics, and assert fine-pointed opinions about art and poetry," an obituary written by his wife Sigrid Lucking read.
His family asked in the obituary that "you toast his memory and celebrate his legacy."
Lucking made his onscreen debut when he appeared on an episode of Ironside in 1968. He later starred in Mission: Impossible, NYPD Blue, The X-Files and The West Wing.
Lucking joined the Sons of Anarchy cast in 2008 during the show's debut season. He remained on the show until the fourth season in 2011.
He is survived by his wife and two daughters, Marjet Lucking and Juliana Ryan.
