Stephen Colbert was in disbelief upon finding out the latest approval poll numbers for Donald Trump.
During the monologue of the Tuesday, March 31, episode of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, the host revealed a new UMass YouGov poll discovered that while 47.2 percent of Americans "strongly disapprove" of the president, "there are still 22.4 percent who strongly approve of him."
Stephen Colbert Impersonates Donald Trump Supporters

Stephen Colbert made fun of Americans who still support Donald Trump.
"Who are you?" the comedian questioned while looking directly into the camera.
Colbert then mocked Trump's supporters and said in an exaggerated tone, "Well, I want gas to be expensive! I want the Kennedy Center blown up! And I know this is a pipe dream, but is there any way that maybe, maybe, we could get Denmark to hate us? Because I would just love it if the price of licorice went up too."
The President Celebrated The Late Show's Cancelation
A new poll revealed 47.2 percent of Americans 'strongly disapprove' of the POTUS.
The late-night star, 61, has been at odds with the politician for quite some time, with Trump, 79, celebrating the announcement in 2025 that the star's CBS show will be coming to an end in May.
"I absolutely love that Colbert got fired. His talent was even less than his ratings," the POTUS wrote on Truth Social last year. "I hear Jimmy Kimmel is next. Has even less talent than Colbert! Greg Gutfeld is better than all of them combined, including the Moron on NBC who ruined the once great Tonight Show."

Donald Trump admitted he was glad Stephen Colbert 'got fired.'
Many people felt the show's cancelation was politically motivated, as the announcement came after Colbert shamed Paramount for paying Trump a $16 million settlement after he accused the network of editing a 60 Minutes interview with Kamala Harris prior to the 2024 presidential election.
Colbert took over The Late Show in 2015, but the series has been on since 1993, when it was hosted by David Letterman.
Steven Cheung Calls Stephen Colbert 'Sad and Pathetic'

'Stephen Colbert is a sad and pathetic excuse for a human being,' said Steven Cheung.
One of the latest sticking points in their feud came from White House Communications Director Steven Cheung, who dissed the Daily Show alum and reposted an article about Colbert being on an ego trip in March.

White House Communications Director Steven Cheung called the comedian 'entitled.'
"Stephen Colbert is a sad and pathetic excuse for a human being. He's kicking and screaming like a baby because he's an entitled prick who has lost touch with reality," he wrote on X. "The fact is that he will soon be forgotten because nobody likes a loser who killed the legacy of The Late Show."
The Late Show's final episode will air on Thursday, May 21.
