Super Bowl LV, which took place on Sunday, February 7, was certainly not without its hiccups. In fact, a crazed fan ran onto the field during the fourth quarter.
The unidentified man donned a pink one-piece bathing suit which read, "Vitality Censored," black shorts and a face mask. The fan ran across the field in the last five minutes of the game while the Kansas City Chiefs had the ball.
"Someone has run on the field, some guy with a bra," Kevin Harlan announced. "He's pulling down his pants. Pull up your pants my man! Pull up those pants!"
The fan dashed with his arms raised, as the players stood back and watched the debacle unfold. The camera panned to Tom Brady on the sidelines and then to Patrick Mahomes pacing on the field. The man evaded two officials before he was tackled by security.
"He slides at the 1 [yard line], and they converge on him at the goal line," Harlan noted.
"And the players with hands on hips at the other end of the field are looking at him and shaking their heads and saying 'Why oh why is this taking place in a Super Bowl?'" Harlan commented.
CBS then cut to a commercial break while security escorted the fan off the field.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat the Kansas City Chiefs 31-9.
