Suzanne Somers' glamorous desert compound in Palm Springs, Calif., has been snatched up at the full asking price of $8.5 million.
Somers and her husband, Alan Hamel, first put their estate on the market years ago but re-listed the property in January for $8.5 million, which was a dramatic decline from its original $35 million in 2008.
And while the good-looking couple is a sight for sore eyes, nothing can compare to their luxurious and elegant home, modeled after L’oustau De Baumaniere in Provence, France.
Somers, 74, and Hamel, 84, gave up their retreat — after they both took a horrible fall down the steps, which resulted in neck surgery for Somers — and plan to build a smaller residence nearby. While their new abode is under construction, the power couple will remain in their current home.
