Von D (born: Katherine Von Drachenberg) announced she's closing the doors on her famed tattoo parlor, High Voltage, after buying a historic mansion in Indiana. According to property records, obtained by New York Post, Von D purchased her new abode in Vevay last December for $1,525,000.

The reality star — whose shop and work as a tattoo artist was documented on TLC reality show LA Ink — shared her shocking news on Monday, October 25, revealing: "We recently purchased a beautiful home on a bit of land in rural Indiana, and the more time we spend out there we realize we feel more at home there than we do here in LA."

"After much thought," Von D confirmed, "we have decided we will permanently be moving to Indiana at the end of this year."

Explaining she's planning on selling her Los Angeles home, Von D said she'll also be closing down her L.A. shop, since it wouldn't "make sense to keep it open if I wasn't present." (She also pointed out she'd only go back to L.A. to work on music with her band.)

However, the 39-year-old said she'll "likely open a private studio in Indiana once we are done with the house remodel there."
