Tiger Woods is hoping 12-year old son Charlie will be the next big golf pro — much to his ex-wife Elin Nordegren's chagrin. The preteen recently garnered praise playing alongside his father, 46, at the PNC Championship on December 19, where the dynamic duo came in second.

"Elin worries he's going to suffocate Charlie," explains the insider. "She reasons it's hard enough to be a kid these days without this as added pressure." But, despite her reservations, Elin won't stand in the way of her son's future. Adds the insider: "She concedes that it boils down to what Charlie wants."

"We got on a nice heater; Charlie was hitting the ball unbelievable,'' Woods told reporters after the duo took home second place. "It [winning] would have had a special meaning in my heart for sure, there's no doubt about that. And it still does."

"The fact that I'm able to have this opportunity this year, even a couple weeks ago we didn't really know whether or not I would be doing this, but here we are," he candidly said after sustaining injuries from his rollover car crash last year. "And we had just the best time ever, and I just wish I could have walked down the fairways with him and been side by side with him the entire time like we were last year.''
