TikToker Claims To Have Picked Up Gabby Petito's Boyfriend Brian Laundrie Hitchhiking Alone Days Before She Was Reported Missing
Authorities have reportedly spoken to a TikToker who said that she picked up Gabby Petito’s boyfriend, Brian Laundrie, hitchhiking alone last month.
Miranda Baker claimed in a series of videos on TikTok that she and her boyfriend picked up the 23-year-old on August 29 at Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming.
"I’m hoping this can help someone identify him, because I saw him from TikTok, which then made me call the authorities, and my boyfriend and I have been in contact with a bunch of different people to help piece together different parts of this case," the 22-year-old said.
Baker said that Laundrie approached the couple and asked for a ride because he needed to go to Jackson.
Baker said that her boyfriend and Laundrie made small talk. Laundrie allegedly said that he was camping for several days without his fiancée. "He did say he had a fiancée and that she was working on their social media page back at their van," Baker said in the clip.
Laundrie allegedly told the couple that he and Petito were not camping on a regulated campsite. "They were camping basically out in the middle of nowhere along Snake River," Baker said.

According to Baker, Laundrie said that he only had a tarp to sleep on. "If you'd think you're going camping for days on end you'd want food and a tent and he had none of that," she noted. "He had scruff but he didn't look dirty for someone who was camping for multiple days. He didn't look dirty, he didn't smell dirty, so that part was kind of weird."
Laundrie is said to have "freaked out" when she said they were going to Jackson Hole asked them to pull over. They pulled over at the Jackson Dam in Grand Teton National Park, which was not far from where Laundrie was first picked up. According to Baker, he rushed out of the car and said he would find someone else to get a ride with.
"I don't know what other place he wanted to go to because there's only one Jackson," Baker said. She explained that Jackson Hole is often referred to as Jackson.
Rangers are reportedly searching for Petito in Grand Teton, the Daily Mail reported.
"We have five, six different agencies who are out there, 50 plus folks," North Port Police information chief Josh Taylor told the publication. "We have had drones in the air, we have got bloodhounds, K9s, four by four vehicles. It's very wet, it's muddy. There are a few unpaved dirt roads. It's a place that people hike. There are mountain bike trails out here. The Myakkahatchee Creek runs down into the city."
A Grand Teton Park Ranger told the outlet that he thinks there "may also be a search going on in a remote area of Yellowstone National Park."
Petito and her boyfriend reportedly went on a road trip in early July. Petito's family was reportedly last in contact with her on August 25. She was reported missing on September 11, 10 days after Laundrie returned home without Petitio.
It has since been reported that Laundrie's whereabouts "are currently unknown."
