Tom Cruise knows how to arrive in style!
On Wednesday, May 4, the action star, 59, showed up at the premiere of Top Gun: Maverick, which hits theaters on May 27th, in San Diego at the USS Midway looking as sophisticated as ever as he stepped out of a sleek black helicopter before posing for cameras on the red carpet.
His legions of fans were stunned as the chopper — which read “Tom Cruise Top Gun: Maverick" — made its way onto the helipad for the big event. The actor reprises his infamous role as pilot Lt. Pete “Maverick” Mitchell in the upcoming film.

Movie goers have waited patiently for the film as it was originally set to be released in 2019, but was delayed repeatedly as a result of the pandemic.
The movie also stars Miles Teller who takes on the role of Goose’s son and Maverick’s new protégé, along with Jennifer Connelly, who plays Maverick's love interest, Penny Benjamin.
The hotly awaited sequel is set in a world of drone technology and explores the end of the era of dogfighting, with Cruise portraying a flight instructor.
Also in attendance to celebrate the movie's star-studded world premiere launch was Rachel McAdams, Jon Hamm, Derek Hough, and Kenny Loggins.
The Jerry McGuire actor hyped up the large crowd telling them via CNN: “Does anyone want to see a movie in a movie theater? Let’s do it! Let’s light the fires and kick the tires.”
