Travis Kelce's Ex Kayla Nicole Complains Dating Is Hard Even If You're 'Attractive' as She Urges Women to Stop 'Obsessing' Over Being 'Chosen'

Kayla Nicole shared her hot take on dating as she encouraged women to stop making male validation a priority.

"I want us, as women, to take our power back. To stop obsessing over this idea of being chosen," Nicole, 34, said during an episode of her "The Pre-Game With Kayla Nicole" podcast. "I think we give too much power to the other and not to ourselves."

The conversation kicked off after the podcast host responded to fan who said she didn't want to give love another chance after a potential suitor changed his mind about courting her.

"I think that people definitely assume that if you’re attractive and have a fat a--, they think that dating is easy. And it’s just simply untrue," she replied. "So I hope that you don’t feel alone in this dating journey. It’s hard for all of us."

Nicole said if there wasn't "any alignment" between two potential partners, they were just "two ships passing in the night."

"The hurdle that everyone is trying to get over is the men," she continued. "The men are the problem."

The influencer urged her listeners to think of themselves as "the prize," adding, "I'm so sick of us caring about being chosen by a man."

Nicole's comments went viral, with many fans sharing their reactions in the comments section.

"I love her honesty, she is who she is and she doesn't shy away from that because of the haters," one fan wrote, while a second added, "Women need to stop being pick me women. The patriarchy gives men too much power and women are constantly falling for it."

Others disagreed with the media personality, calling the advice misguided.

Nicole is best known for her former relationship with Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, whom she dated on and on from 2017 to 2022.

Though she hasn't publicly dated anyone since their split, Nicole often shares candid confessions about her love life. Last month, she made headlines when she admitted she didn't believe "in a perfect love story" after being asked what her ideal romance would look like.
