Baby Number 4! Usher Expecting Second Child With Girlfriend Jenn Goicoechea
Baby on board! Usher is set to welcome his fourth child.
The 42-year-old and girlfriend Jenn Goicoechea arrived a the iHeartRadio Music Awards 2021 on Thursday, May 28, which Usher hosted, when Goicoechea showed off her baby bump in a stunning black dress.
The news was also confirmed to various outlets by Usher's rep.
The new addition will be Usher and Goicoechea's second child together after they welcomed their daughter, Sovereign Bo, in September. Usher is a dad to teenage sons Naviyd Ely, 12, and Usher V, 13, whom he shares with ex-wife Tameka Foster.
"Man, my boys are really enjoying having another girl in the house," the "Yeah!" singer recently shared of having a daughter.
"Me and Jenn are very, very happy to celebrate this period in life. Sovereign was really, like, the silver lining for us [in the pandemic], and for a lot of people who had new babies this year," he told Entertainment Tonight.
Sovereign was first introduced during a virtual appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in November. "She came out early," he explained. "She was scheduled to be a Scorpio but decided she had a different plan. Libras, you know, they kinda have their minds made up what they wanna do."
"It's funny because the umbilical cord was wrapped around her wrists. So she's pulling the thing, like, 'Pull me outta here, it's time to go!'" he recalled.
Usher explained that his sons were "coping well" with having a new baby and are "excited about being big brothers," but "they're a little bit too protective, even with me sometimes."
"And as they get older, I'm less cool of a dad, so now I'm starting this whole cycle over again and I'm kind of the apple of [Sovereign's] eye right now," he gushed.
Usher also said that it was "unreal" to be performing and hosting at the iHeartRadio Music Awards. "I feel like this is the greatest, the most wonderful experience that's happened since 2020," he told ET.
There's no word yet on when Usher and Goicoechea are expecting their new arrival or the baby's sex.
