Usher addressed rumors he used a body double during his New Jersey concert that took place on Friday, August 7.
The 47-year-old R&B singer responded to the conspiracy theory that went viral online and denied putting a lookalike onstage during his tour at MetLife stadium over the weekend.
Usher reacted to an online conspiracy theory recently that claimed he used a body double during his New Jersey concert.
"Ya’ll are funny…clone? They can’t clone this??” he wrote under a video of the concert New York radio station Power 105.1 shared on Instagram.
“How ya’ll come up with this? AI ain’t that advanced," the "Confessions" singer joked.
Fans Believed Usher Was Not Really Performing During His New Jersey Concert
Fans hilariously believed Usher was replaced by a doppelgänger.
A clip from Usher's show — which he was also joined by Chris Brown — surfaced on social media where the Grammy winner was dressed in graffiti-printed white pants, a matching jacket, a green hat and dark sunglasses.
Usher appeared to look bewildered about where the stage entrance was located before he performed his 2004 single “Yeah!”
Instagram users didn't believe Usher was actually singing during the tour stop, with one person commenting: "That was not the real Usher that opened for us. I was a 20% refund bcuz I ain't pay to see his stunt double."

'That was the backup Usher,' someone joked online about the singer's appearance.
“First off, the real Usher wouldn’t have had to be guided to the right side of the stage,” one person chimed in. “Usher also doesn’t walk with urgency, nor dance as fast as this impersonator did. Usher is smoother with his moves and walk.”
"That was the backup Usher," someone joked, with another quipping: "Definitely not him, the swag is totally off!!"
One person added: "THAT WAS NOT USHER! Usher did appear for the other half of the show though.'
Viewers Jokingly Thought Usher Was 'Cloned'
The R&B singer was confused as to why people thought the man on stage wasn't him.
"I love how people skip right past 'lookalike' and decide it’s a clone," someone else laughed.
The "U Got It Bad" crooner raised eyebrows last month when he kicked a female fan off of the stage after she seemed disinterested in him trying to woo her during his performance.

Usher made headlines last month when a female fan looked uncomfortable while being on stage with him.
During a show in Nashville on July 25 as part of The R&B Tour with Brown, 37, the woman — who was later identified as Gabrielle Cheyenne — looked uncomfortable as a shirtless Usher serenaded her in front of the audience.
“I don’t think she wanted to be on the stage, huh?” Usher said to the crowd after the awkward interaction as Cheyenne was escorted off the platform.
Cheyenne then took to her Facebook shortly after the encounter to clear the air, penning: “First off NOBODY is declining to go on stage. I looked good asf, you thought I wasn’t gonna let THOUSANDS of people see me?? On the big screen, where you b------ will never be????”
“My mom and I had FLOOR SEATS. Their team approached us and moved us to VIP before the show even started !! PRETTY PRIVILEGES something you h--- will never know about!! Y’all wanted me to get up there and f--- him atp ?? FOLKS AREN’T USED TO ANYTHING. That’s the most exciting thing that would’ve happened in y’all little a-- lives!!" Cheyenne fumed.
