And we are in the same state of shock when it comes to older child stars who were middle-school aged when we met them and are now legitimately teenagers or adults. Where does the time go?!

1. Kristen Stewart
Remember K.Stew as the little girl in 'Panic Room?' Now, Kristen's 23 years old and has done everything on-screen from kissing vampires in 'Twilight' to going topless in 'On The Road.' That's major.
2. Emma Roberts
Emma used to star in kiddie films like 'Nancy Drew' and 'Must Love Dogs,' but now the all-grown-up actress is taking on the roles of a murderer (spoiler! Whoops) in 'Scream 4' and a slutty pop star in 'Celeste & Jesse Forever.' And we don't hate it.
3. Abigail Breslin
Abigail was nominated for an Oscar when she was ten for starring in 'Little Miss Sunshine,' and her career has only gone up from there, taking on big-girl movie roles like that of an abducted teen in 'The Call' with Halle Berry.
4. Dakota Fanning
Dakota was the cutest little girl actress ever in films like 'Uptown Girls,' 'I Am Sam' and 'Cat In The Hat,' but she really proved how grown-up she is when she did drugs, hooked up with girls and drank a ton for her role as Cherie in 'The Runaways.' Which is a greally great movie, BTW.

Everyone thinks of MKA as the little girls from 'Full House' and those lame (slash amazing) straight-to-DVD movies, but let's not forget that Mary-Kate made out with Ben Kingsley and smoked lots of marijuana in her 2008 film, 'The Wackness.' Good times.
6. Vanessa Hudgens
Vanessa Hudgens will always have 'High School Musical' to thank for her fame, but she certainly shed her Disney image when she took on the role of pot-smoking, gun-holding, threesome-having Candy in 'Spring Breakers.'
7. Selena Gomez
And the same goes for Selena Gomez. Sel got her start on 'Wizards of Waverly Place' (and Barney & Friends!) but she's taking on more grown-up roles these days, starting with the role of Faith in 'Spring Breakers.' There's plenty more where that came from, we're sure.
8. Emma Watson
Yup, she will always and forever be Hermione Granger from 'Harry Potter.' But now that those movies are dunzo, Emma's taking on more adult roles like in the upcoming 'The Bling Ring,' playing a bad-ass teen who steals expensive stuff from celebrities. Whoa.
9. Chloe Moretz
Back in the day Chloe was the little sister sidekick in '500 Days of Summer.' Now? She's the leading lady in major films, creeping people the eff out in 'Carrie' and kicking boys' butts in 'Kick-Ass.' Just another day in the life of a movie star.
10. BONUS: Zac Efron
As number 11 (and the only male on our list), we just had to include Zac Efron. He went from playing 'HSM's Troy Bolton back in 2006 to raunchier roles in 'The Lucky One,' 'The Paper Boy,' 'At Any Prince' and more. As long as his films continue to involve him getting shirtless, we'll keep on watching.
