The Duggar family of 19 Kids And Counting had one whirlwind of a year, from several marriages to several pregnancies—and a whole lot of birthdays! OKMagazine.com takes a look back at 2014 in Duggar land!
The year began with tons of courting for Jessa Duggar and Jill Duggar, who are both now married to their first boyfriends. Both girls had been dating since the fall—Jessa with Ben Seewald and Jill with Derick Dillard—but the family shared photos of the young couples in 2014.
February was a big month for Michelle Duggar, who came clean about her struggles with bulimia growing up, but Jim Bob Duggar helped her overcome it as they started getting serious.

She also spoke out about her beliefs on her keys to a successful relationship, which includes submitting to your husband at his every command. “Anyone can fix him lunch, but only one person can meet that physical need of love that he has, and you always need to be available when he calls,’” she said.
In March, it was all about the Duggar girls—Jana Duggar, Jill, Jessa and Jinger Duggar—who penned a book called Growing Up Duggar, writing about the strict rules for courting, dressing and more.
But the boys also had their time in the spotlight, too! Josiah Duggar graduated from high school and had a big celebration in an April episode.
Cue the wedding bells! After a whirlwind courtship, Jill and Derick announced they were engaged and set to wed in a few months!
They became engaged in April but the engagement episode aired in April on 19 Kids And Counting.
And just like that, Jill and Derick married! The June ceremony was held in Springdale, Arkansas in front of all their loved ones!
With 19 kids, it’s no surprise that Jim Bob and Michelle’s 30th anniversary in July was a huge celebration for the family.
August was a huge month for the Duggar family as Jessa announced her engagement to Ben, marking the second Duggar daughter to get engaged.
Just before that, Jill announced she and Derick were expecting their first child together, sparking a few rumors they had a “honeymoon baby.”
Jill and Derick also sparked more controversy with their first baby announcement when their baby registry came out in September, asking for soda. “Derick said we should put Dr. Pepper on there, because if you have late nights, you have to have caffeine,” Jill said.
More controversy hit the family in September when an episode aired showing Ben moving into the family guesthouse.
It wasn’t until October, though, that Jill’s wedding aired on the TLC reality series. They should really call this show, Keeping up with the Duggars!

Oddly enough, 19 Kids And Counting also aired the episode showing how Jessa and Ben got engaged in November!

After a few months of planning, Jessa walked down the aisle, too! She wed Ben on Nov. 1 in front of more than 1,000 guests.
John David Duggar also may be courting! In November, there were many social media photos of the second eldest Duggar kid with a mystery brunette!
There was also another pregnancy announcement in November! Anna Duggar, the wife of Josh Duggar, announced she was expecting her fourth child with the eldest Duggar!
No wonder, either! There were so many Duggar make out photos!

Not everything could be all smiles and laughs, though. A petition was started in late November to end the Duggar’s reality show after the 19 Kids And Counting family was lambasted for supporting an anti-gay law. Later, Jim Bob Duggar said it only helped the family get “more exposure.”
A family feud also went down in December, with Jessa and Jill arguing over social media and who should have wed first.
The oldest Duggar daughter, Jana Duggar, had a happy moment in the spotlight when rumors emerged that she was being set up by her father with Tim Tebow, though her family members later denied this on her behalf. Oh, Cinderella Duggar, when will you meet your Prince Charming? (Or have your own storyline?)

There was also a story about a “wild” in-law named Susanna Keller that OK! Magazine first reported was “shunned” from the family for her “modern ways” and having a child out of wedlock!
But all’s well that ends well. The family united for a huge Christmas card!
December was also full of birthdays, like the youngest Duggar, Josie, who turned 5 and had a celebration at McDonald's!
Jinger also celebrated her 21st birthday, but no drinking!
As for 2015, what to expect? Firstly, Jill Duggar will have her baby in March!
Anna Duggar is due in June.
And hopefully Jessa and Ben will begin their family, if they haven’t secretly started already!
Also, we’re rooting for Jana and John David to start courting! Or Jinger Duggar to fly the coup!
