90 Day Fiancé star Ashley Martson opened up about a dark time in her life when she was 19-years-old. She took to Instagram to share a very traumatizing memory in her younger years when she was kidnapped, raped and almost killed by a stranger. Keep reading to hear about Ashley's painful experience.

The mother of two wrote, "As most of you know an old friend decided to send the tabloids a very personal story about me. Yes, when I was 19 I was kidnapped, raped and almost killed by a stranger."
Her story was leaked originally and it led her to open up and share it among her followers. “Many outlets were reaching out to me for comment,” the 31-year-old continued in a long caption on Instagram.
“I reached out to @johnyates327 (John Yates) who was also sent the story and asked him to leak it first because I wasn’t sure how the other tabloids would portray me." John also wrote a statement on Instagram regarding the story after he received hateful comments for sharing it.
She said, "I knew he would post it with the with dignity and respect with the understanding that this is a very sensitive subject. People are disgusting."
"Sending this story to tabloids shows how s***ty people really are. Everyone take it easy on @johnyates327 he has my permission #90dayfiance #tlc." John responded to the hate and told his side of the story by writing, "I was only trying to help. I was asked by Ashley to leak this so to all of you who thought I was trying to profit off this poor girls misfortune you can all go scratch."
