Previously, the dance instructor announced her resignation from the show through a lengthy Instagram post back in March 2017. She wrote in part, “I JUST HAVE A PROBLEM WITH BEING MANIPULATED, DISRESPECTED, AND USED – DAY IN AND DAY OUT BY MEN WHO NEVER TOOK A DANCE LESSON IN THEIR LIVES AND TREAT WOMEN LIKE DIRT!”
Her latest social media update comes just 7 months after she was diagnosed with spinal cancer. She received that diagnosis a month after she was released from prison after serving time for bankruptcy fraud.
Back in August, an insider gave People an update on her health. The person explained, “Abby has been trying to stay positive throughout this journey, but it’s been tough. She’s getting a little stronger every day, but we don’t know if she’ll ever walk again.”
