Gwen Stefani and her boyfriend Blake Shelton took drastic measures to avoid his ex, but in the end, they couldn't escape her shade. On Sunday, April 7, the couple attended the 2019 ACM Awards but instead of risking a run-in with Blake’s ex Miranda Lambert and her new husband Brendan McLoughlin, Gwen and Blake skipped the pre-show photo ops.
Once inside the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, the lovebirds were all smiles.
Gwen, 49, also documented their time at the ceremony on her on Instagram. She shared a clip of her giving Blake, 42, a smooch backstage ahead of his "God's Country” performance.
The No Doubt front-woman also captured them all taking a celebratory shot of alcohol following Blake’s explosive performance. “That was insanity,” she told him. “I don’t think it could be better than that.”

The Voice stars weren’t the only ones enjoying the night and riding the high of a successful performance. Miranda and Brendan, 28, were beaming as they cuddled up on the red carpet and made their first red carpet as a married couple.
When it was time for Miranda to take to the stage, fans noticed the newly married singer appeared to fired shots at her ex Blake. During the song "Little Red Wagon,” she changed the lyrics from “I live in Oklahoma” to “I got the hell out of Oklahoma.”
Miranda and Brendan, a New York City police officer, got married in a surprise ceremony in February.
