Adam Levine has been a coach on The Voice for 12 seasons, leaving many to wonder if the Maroon 5 singer will ever give up the long-going gig. But now that his fellow coach turned best friend Blake Shelton is focusing all his attention on his girlfriend, fellow Voice star Gwen Stefani, Adam might be ready to finally say goodbye!
During an interview with Matt Lauer and Carson Daly on Today, Adam admitted the show isn’t always the joking party they pretend it is for viewers. “It’s bizarre. It’s just a permanent fixture it seems in your life,” Adam said. “It’s exhausting.”
Gwen joined the show after Adam had long ago established his ratings-grabbing bromance with Blake. Their rock star meets country crooner bond surprised even NBC with the way it captivated viewers.

But once Gwen signed on, viewers couldn’t help but notice her intense chemistry with Blake, and the two, who had both been going through very public divorces, soon confirmed the dating rumors, leaving Adam in the dust.
“Gwen and Blake are really starting to annoy the rest of the judges and producers because they seem to feel like they are the stars of the show,” a production insider previously told RadarOnline.com. “It has just turned into a real soap opera with the two of them.”
Do you think Blake and Gwen are to blame for Adam’s feelings towards the show? Do you think he’d leave any time soon as a result? Let us know in the comments!
