Alex Rodriguez bought Jennifer Lopez a custom 2019 Porsche 911 GTS for her 50th birthday even though she hadn’t driven in over 20 years! In a video the former MLB player posted on YouTube, he surprised the “Medicine” singer with the pricey red convertible.
“What do you get someone who already has everything? You have to be creative,” Alex, 44, said while consulting his daughter’s, Natasha and Ella, and Jennifer’s daughter, Emme.
The former MLB player revealed, “We've been talking about maybe a car. The irony is we're gonna buy her a car but she hasn't driven in 25 years.”
Natasha, 14, came up with the idea to buy a Porsche. “Jennifer has a driver’s license and it’s valid. I saw it,” she assured her dad.
For the big surprise, Alex blindfolded JLo and brought her outside to their driveway. Natasha drove the car up the driveway with Ella, Emme, and Max in the back.
The “On The Floor” singer was in complete shock when she saw the car. She turned to her fiancée and asked, “Oh my god, I'm gonna have to drive?”
“I've never driven a car like that,” JLo admitted. “I've never driven a car, period.”
“Let me see if I remember how to drive,” she said before taking a joy ride through the neighborhood. Alex joked, “Can I get a double seat belt?” The drive ended up going smoothly.
