Amber Portwood’s Ex Matt Baier SLAMS 'Teen Mom' For Firing Farrah Abraham
March 22 2018, Updated 2:57 p.m. ET
Matt Baier may be done with his ex-fiancé Amber Portwood and Teen Mom OG, but that doesn’t mean he has no opinion on the show’s latest controversy. While appearing on the RadarOnline.com podcast, Teen Mom Time, Matt talked about Farrah Abraham’s recent firing from the show and why he thinks MTV is making a huge mistake!
“I think it’s wrong,” Matt said on the podcast. “Farrah was originally taken off the show for doing porn. Then she was brought back onto the show. It’s not like the porn was a new thing.” As OK! readers know, Farrah was fired from Teen Mom due to her treatment of the crew as well as her return to the adult film industry.
“Is the message: We’re going to bring her back because we had potentially dipping ratings? Now that we feel our ratings are strong, we no longer approve of how she lives her life? I don’t think that’s right,” he said.
If Farrah was fired solely based on her treatment of the crew, Matt said he supports the decision “100 percent.” However, Matt doesn’t think Farrah should be punished for how she chooses to support herself and her family.

“But to fire her because of how she makes money outside of Teen Mom, I think is wrong,” Matt admitted. “Farrah does not hide what she does for a living. She does what she feels she has to do to care of her family.”
When asked how he feels about Teen Mom 3 star Mackenzie McKee possibly replacing Farrah, Matt wasn’t on board. “How do you replace Farrah Abraham?” he asked. “How do you have Teen Mom OG without one of the original girls? If they had to replace Farrah, I think the obvious choice would be Jenelle Evans. They’re both controversial figures on their shows.”
Jenelle’s husband David Eason was recently fired from Teen Mom 2 after he went on a homophobic rant on Twitter, but Matt doesn’t think Jenelle, who isn’t scheduled to film for at least six weeks, should be punished for her husband’s remarks. “Jenelle didn’t say it so no. I don’t think Jenelle is responsible for what her husband said. I agree with MTV’s decision completely,” Matt said.
