Amiyah Scott had her fans and The Real Housewives of Atlanta's viewers buzzing on Monday when she posted an Instagram rant accusing the show's producers of cutting her scenes from the show due to her reported refusal to be the “b—ch of the cast.” However, a source close to production has exclusively revealed to OKMagazine.com that there is a simple reason for the transgender model’s absence from the show's latest season — she simply didn’t get along with the cast.
Every season of RHOA, several new ladies are brought in to try out for the show's open full-time and half-time slots. But Scott sparked some of the largest buzz heading into Season 8, seeing that she would be the first transgender cast member on the show.
Several viewers were disappointed to see the limited amount of screen time Scott ended up receiving during Season 8. And Scott took to her Instagram account on Sunday to express her own frustrations with the situation in a lengthy rant.
In the post, she listed “contractual complications” and “the magic of editing” as a few of the reasons she didn’t appear on RHOA. And in reports released on Monday about the drama, it was said that Scott also didn’t mesh with producers over the way they wanted to portray her on the show.

But the production source told OKMagazine.com that Amiyah did a large amount of filming for the show and had a great time on set during the tapings. The insider added that she didn't have any poroblem with the show's production team, wtih it ultimately beign decided she just wasn’t the best choice for the show’s Season 8 cast. “She didn’t gel with the rest of the ladies and it just wasn’t a good fit,” the insider said.
Scott isn’t the first RHOA prospect to be left on the cutting room floor, though. And seeing that she wasn’t cast as either a friend of the housewives or as a full-time housewife, there was never any guarantee the scenes she filmed would be featured on the show.
Still, her comments about the show and her absence from the new season have made for quite the heated debate among RHOA fans. What do you think about Amiyah’s comments on filming for The Real Housewives of Atlanta? Tweet us @OKMagazine or let us know in the comments section below.
