The 50-year-old first announced he was becoming a father during WWHL in December 2018. His guests that episode were OG Housewives Kyle Richards, Vicki Gunvalson, Teresa Giudice, Ramona Singer and NeNe Leakes.
“Tonight, I want you to be the first to know that after many years of careful deliberation, a fair amount of prayers and the benefit of science...if all goes according to plan in about six weeks’ time...I’m going to become a father!" he said.
Andy later revealed his child’s gender while co-hosting CNN’s New Year’s Eve Live with Anderson Cooper. “It’s a boy and I got to tell you something, I cannot wait to meet this boy," he said.
The new father had two major baby showers ahead of his baby’s birth. One had several Real Housewives there, who lit up his party by dancing on tables and taking their tops off.
The other was much more intimate with Kelly Ripa and Sarah Jessica Parker in attendance.
