Anna Duggar is trying to stay optimistic despite Homeland Security's “ongoing federal investigations” into her husband Josh’s car business. The pregnant Counting On star revealed in lieu of Thanksgiving she had her five children write down what they’ve been thankful for in the past year.
“Growing up Thanksgiving was one of the most anticipated holidays for my family. One of my favorite traditions was making a ‘Thanksgiving Chain’ made up of one-inch strips of construction paper,” Anna, 31, told fans on November 23.
She shared photos of her kids crafting and explained, “On each link we would write something that happened in the past year we were thankful for! Then we would hang the chain in our dining room and on Thanksgiving evening my family would take down the chain and spend time reading through each item remembering many of the special things from the previous year and closing with a time of prayer thanking God for His blessings!”
“It’s so sweet to keep this tradition going with our children (all of my siblings have continued this with their families as well)!” the Counting On star added.
The soon-to-be mom-of-six continued, “As long as we’re not in labor (baby six is due on Thanksgiving Day!), we look forward to reading our Thanksgiving chain and remembering all the many blessings God has given us!”

Anna is due to have baby number six with Josh, 31, during a stressful time for their family. An HSI spokesperson told KNWA on November 21 that Josh’s car lot was visited for an “ongoing federal investigation.” They wouldn’t confirm that Josh was the one specifically investigated because no charges were filed.
“I can confirm that we were at that address. And spoke to individuals at that location. But I can’t discuss any individuals by name,” the spokesperson added.
HSI first told KNWA that they were investigating Jim Bob and Michelle’s home, but they later amended that information. “We were shocked to see a news report today state that our home was raided by federal law enforcement agencies. This is not true,” the family denied on November 18. “To the best of our knowledge, it’s also not true that any member of our family is the target of any investigation of any kind.”
Rumors first circulated on Facebook and on the website Crazy Days And Night that the FBI allegedly raided Josh’s home on November 16 in connection with child pornography, tax evasion, and money laundering. FBI agents spoke to RadarOnline.com on November 18 and denied any involvement.
