Anna Faris has wedding bells in her future. The Overboard actress seemingly confirmed her engagement to boyfriend Michael Barrett. The couple started dating in October 2017, and Anna, 42, has recently been spotted in Los Angeles wearing a diamond ring.
“They’ve been together long enough to know they’re right for each other,” a source told InTouch exclusively about the engagement. “Anna is very happy.” The House Bunny actress was spotted with a huge diamond ring on that finger earlier this month, and the insider also added that Anna had been dropping hints to the cinematographer “like crazy.”
Earlier this year, Anna claimed she was done with marriage during an episode of the Divorce Sucks! podcast with Laura Wasser. However, it appears she feels otherwise now.
“I will say, I believe in love and monogamy, and I believe in the commitment … with a relationship,” the Scary Movie actress revealed at the time. “But I do struggle — having gone through it a couple of times now, Laura — with the idea of our legal system.” Anna also said that she isn’t crazy about weddings unless she gets to be “the super obnoxious person who doesn’t have to be a bridesmaid.”
Michael and Anna met on the set of the film Overboard and started dating two months after the Mom actress announced her separation from Chris Pratt.
Anna was previously married to Ben Indra from 2004 to 2008, and to Chris, 40, from 2009 to 2018. They share 7-year-old son Jack. The Guardians of the Galaxy actor married Katherine Schwarzenegger in June 2019.
The Just Friends actress and Jurassic World star are on great terms as they coparent Jack. “He really is such an amazing person,” Anna gushed about her ex-husband. “I’m really grateful that we’re so close. And that … I think that we both, I know that we both just want, the best… just happiness.”
She added, “Grudge-holding is not something that, like, Chris and I do … We wanted to make sure of course that Jack was happy, but that we were happy and supportive of each other.”
