After spending a month in jail for allegedly attacking a man during a street fight in Sweden, A$AP Rocky was released on Friday, August 2 until his court date in a couple of weeks.
As OK! readers know, Rocky, 30, was arrested at 1 am in Sweden on July 2 after getting into a street brawl on June 30.
Until Friday, August 2, the rapper was in detainment for weeks while the Swedish officials decided where to go with the assault case.
While the 30-year-old is free to leave the country, he is expected back for his court date in Sweden on Wednesday, August 14.
The other two defendants involved in the case were also released and free to leave the country.
Prosecutors did ask that the star stay in Sweden, arguing that he was a flight risk but the judges disagreed. Because the judges leaned in Rocky's favor, many think that he may not be found guilty for assault.
The star took to Instagram shortly after getting out of jail on August 2. "Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of my fans, friends and anyone across the globe who supported me during these last few weeks," he started.
"I can't begin to describe how grateful I am for all you. This has been a very difficult and humbling experience. I want to thank the court for allowing me, Bladi and Thoto to return to our family and friends. Thank you again for the love and support," Rocky concluded.
