Watch out ladies, Ben Higgins might be a “stage five clinger!” A former girlfriend of Ben’s revealed some secrets about their past relationship and if they ever had any closure!

While making his television debut on The Bachelorette fighting for Kaitlyn Bristowe’s heart, Ben won over America with his prince charming looks and down-to-earth personality.

But when it comes to heartbreak, Ben doesn’t take it that well. His ex-girlfriend, Shaelin Adams spoke to Star magazine exclusively about her relationship with him and how he handled their break-up.

The former flames met at Indiana University and dated for a year and a half before Shaelin broke-up with Ben and she moved to Texas for a job position. “I was young and selfish and I didn’t want to have Ben tied to me,” she explained.

The heartbreak wasn’t easy for Ben and she admitted that he has told her he still loves her “over the phone a few times after the break-up.” Adding, “it was hard for him to let go. I don’t think there was any closure on his side.”
