Former Bachelor star Ben Higgins has been single ever since his split with his ex-fiancé Lauren Bushnell in May of 2017. The reality star tried to find love again on TV in 2018 but it didn’t work out. Times have changed – Ben announced on January 14 that he has a girlfriend!
Ben, 29, sat down with Colton Underwood and Ashley Iaconetti for an episode of The Ben and Ashley I. Almost Famous podcast. During the segment, he dropped the bomb about his new girlfriend. “I was just telling someone the other day, I’ve started dating again. This is big news, right? I am dating,” he said.
Colton, 26, asked Ben if he was on dating apps and Ben revealed, “I’m actually dating one person that we’ll talk about in a couple of weeks on the podcast. I’m excited about it.”
Ben revealed that his new girlfriend is long distance. “So, we FaceTime a lot, and it feels very similar to The Bachelor because we don’t get time together. It’s very intentional. It’s very focused. And if we’re going to spend any time with each other, it’s going to be in conversation,” he said.

The former Bachelor added, “She’s like, the best, purest person I know, so a lot of those conversations are about our lives.”
In January of 2018, Ben attempted to find love again on The Bachelor Winter Games but left early on. He admitted he wasn’t quite ready to date again after Lauren.
