The Bachelor’s fan favorite Amanda Stanton is nothing but smiles to love interest Ben Higgins. But Amanda’s happy-go-lucky personality could be because of the strength she has built after dealing with a life-threatening scare.
The 24-year-old told Star Magazine that she was diagnosed with deadly skin cancer while she was pregnant with her first child.
“A lot of crazy things started happening to my skin” when she was carrying her child, Amanda revealed.

After much speculation, Amanda advised her dermatologist to remove the patch of skin for testing. “Thank God, I did! Said Amanda, whose biopsy showed cells of the deadly skin cancer melanoma.
“My first reaction was that I was going to die (and that) I probably had six months to love and wouldn’t be able to watch my children grow up. But that isn’t the case. Luckily, since I was so aware of my body and the way it was changing, I caught it extremely early,” she continued.
